This area of my site will start out relatively simple
but hopefully will grow as my love and affection for my new pet grows.

I first met BeBe about a year ago
when I went over to a friends house for the first time.

She was a beautiful bird with a wonderful temperament.

On February 2, 2000 my friend called me to announce
his wife was pregnant, and because BeBe was such an attention hog
they would need to get rid of her before the baby came.

I pounced on the opportunity. Within six hours
she was in my home and quickly becoming
the five year old I've never had

It has been one week since beginning my journey of
documenting my life with her through this website
and learning all I can about these magnificent animals.

In that week I have become attached and dependent
on the need and love of something
I would have NEVER thought possible.

 

THIS SITE IS DEDICATED TO:

BeBe my umbie!

All cockatoos loved and not loved (unfortunately)
that have enjoyed or endured (very sad) captivity,
whatever the case may be, so that keeping an exotic bird
in captivity has come to the point that I am able to do so.

All of you who are fortunate enough to be able
to enjoy these amazing creatures as much as I have.

My friends Fred and Sharla without whom
I never would have been given the opportunity
to love and care for something as wonderful as BeBe.
